Researchers from the University of New South Wales recently reported new findings in the Journal of Obesity. Revealed that running faster burns dangerous fat in the belly rather than jogging.
Reported by Bloomberg on Thursday (6/28/2012), sprinting occasionally for eight seconds repeatedly within 20 minutes helping overweight men to burn the fat for 2 kilograms (4 pounds). Scientists say, the pattern of exercise like running is required, to keep the body fit. Given the 17 percent of the amount of fat can be reduced stored around the liver, kidneys and other internal organs.
Thus, able to minimize the increased risk of heart disease. The findings, published in the journal also adds to evidence that high intensity can cause fat loss. Research also shows, when someone ran three times a week in 20 minutes, it is enough to trigger the fat burning significantly.
“Running is a very efficient exercise and fun. Other study on aerobic exercise, like jogging on an ongoing basis, found that the amount of exercise required to produce similar reduction fat (like running), approximately 7 hours per week, for 14 weeks,” he concluded.
Reportedly, two thirds of adult age in the United States, overweight and one third are obese. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention based in Atlanta, the average rate of obesity in the U.S. population will rise to 42 percent in 2030.
