Nokia Cancel Replacement for S40

Nokia, rumored to have canceled the project Linux-based operating system, Meltemi.

The news was delivered by an unnamed source told Reuters news agency.

According to the source, Meltemi project should be alternative operating system for the middle class on Nokia phones.

Meltemi is also expected to compete with Android to specific class phones. In addition, to replace the the operating system Series 40 (S40) which fairly older.

the cancellation of Meltemi project carried out by reason of cost savings. There has been no official word from Nokia about this rumor.
