The recent news say that Apple plans to use some of their funds worth USD117 billion to invest in Twitter.
Cnet reported on Saturday (07/28/2012), The New York Times say that the two companies have held talks for several months. But now they are not in negotiations.
Apple considered potentially invest a few hundred million dollars to Twitter. Twitter now has collected approximately nearly USD1 billion for funding.
Twitter has had a lot of money and is expected to generate approximately USD300 million in advertising sales this year. Twitter CEO Dick Costolo has revealed that the initial public offering is not too think about.
“I do not worry about it. If you can wait until this business and the results talk, you can become public company in terms of your own,” he said.
Investment from Apple would be a strategic move to strengthen the relationship with Twitter. This microblogging site has approximately 140 million active users that generate approximately 3 billion chirp every week.
